Women's Chorale

The Wheaton College Women's Chorale is a group of women who love music and love worshipping the Lord through singing music together.

Each year there is a Fall Tea party, a Christmas party, and a Spring Banquet.

Time Commitment and Cost

We rehearse twice a week, on Monday and Wednesday from 4:30-6pm. We also have 2 concerts each semester.

Although the audition and ensemble has no fee, there is a fee to be paid by members of Chorale to cover the cost of the concert dress, etc. (There are a few scholarships for such fees… don’t let the fees scare you away from auditioning!)

Want to Audition?

Any girl at Wheaton can audition for the Women's Chorale! You don’t have to be a music major to try out. Sign up for auditions takes place during orientation week, right before classes start in the fall. You can get audition times at a designated booth in the Beamer Student Center throughout the week. Auditions will take place that same week. There is no audition fee. You should come ready to sing a prepared solo (such as a hymn or a favorite song), as well as to sight read and perform vocal exercises.

“I love being a member of Chorale because it’s a place where I can glorify God through songs alongside other women of faith.” - Victoria ’17

“Women’s Chorale has been such an integral part of my Wheaton experience over the past three years. I love singing and performing with this ensemble because this all-girls choir feels like a family to me.”- Abby ’18

“As a math major, I am seldom a part of a majority-female setting. Women’s Chorale has provided me with the opportunity to build relationships with like-minded women, and these friendships have been some of the greatest blessings of my Wheaton experience.” - Tabitha ’19

“My favorite thing about Chorale is that it’s a designated time twice a week where I take a break from homework and stress and focus on worshipping God.” - Rebecca ’20
