About Steven Sjobring
Co-founder and director of the String Academy of Chicago. Steven Sjobring currently teaches String Techniques and String Pedagogy at Wheaton College. He graduated from Wheaton College in 2001 after studying violin/viola performance and pedagogy. Steven was the first prize winner of the Wheaton College Conservatory Concerto Competition and soloist with the Wheaton College Symphony Orchestra in 2001. Steven was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago 2005-2007. He is also the founder and member of the Chicago Classic String Ensemble who regularly performs throughout the Chicago area. Steven resides in Wheaton with his Wife Kelly and two daughters, Audrey and Naomi.
