Our mission:

To develop intercultural competencies that foster effective global citizenship and Christian witness through study and sustained, meaningful engagement with others in a manner that reflects the love, humility, empathy, and servanthood of Jesus Christ.

Four major initiatives are advancing Global and Experiential Learning at Wheaton College:

Faculty and Staff Development Programs

Seminars, workshops, and grants are available to equip and support faculty and staff to bring global perspectives into classroom and co-curricular activities. Faculty Global Research Awards provide funding for research in global or cross-cultural contexts.

Global Study Programs

Study in a U.S. or international cross-cultural context deepens and broadens a Wheaton education. Options include "Wheaton in" programs in Chicago and abroad, and partner programs in over 30 countries. In addition to the Human Needs and Global Resources program, several departments also offer opportunities for international internshipss. A competitive student Global Scholar Award is available for students who would like to undertake research or a creative project in an international or cross-culutural setting.
