If English is not your native language, you must demonstrate proficiency by submitting scores from either the TOEFL exam or IELTS exam. Scores must not be more than two years old.

Exceptions will be made if:

1. You are a citizen of Australia, Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand or the British West Indies, and are a native speaker of English.

2. You have studied in one of the countries mentioned above or in the U.S. within the past three years and have a good academic record at the school attended.

Applicants who are exempted from the TOEFL may be required to take the GRE.

*Internationals, or legal residents with a green card, who apply for INTT and have a master's degree earned in a foreign country must submit a TOEFL score—they are not exempt from the TOEFL just because they have an MA from their home country. They are only exempt from submitting a TOEFL (or GRE) score if they have earned the master's degree in the USA.
