Best-selling author Donald Miller (Blue Like Jazz; Searching for God Knows What; Father Fiction) recently spoke on “Identity in Christ: Being Made Whole for Holy Callings” at Edman Chapel. Miller has started The Mentoring Project, an organization that seeks to respond to the American crisis of fatherlessness by inspiring and equipping faith communities to mentor fatherless boys. In the fall of 2010, he created the Storyline Conference, a two-day event to help individuals, church communities, and businesses understand their own identities within the context of a narrative full of hope and purpose. “Increasing the Evangelism Temperature in the Local Church”

World-renowned evangelist and speaker Luis Palau recently spoke on “Increasing the Evangelism Temperature in the Local Church.” Over 300 local pastors and lay leaders attended the event, which included ideas for stimulating the evangelistic commitment, passion, and fruitfulness of the church. Palau is the author of more than 40 books, host of three international radio programs, and head of the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association. He has ministered in more than 73 nations and has reached more than one billion people through television, radio, print, and live events. The event was sponsored by the BGC’s Institute of Strategic Evangelism. It is available on audio.
