Evangelism Training

In a fast-paced world that seems to overwhelm us with the “urgent” nearly every moment, we recognize the need for and are committed to providing thoughtful and helpful training to equip Christians to better share Jesus with others. Our training takes a number of approaches:

  • Providing one-on-one mentoring with students, lay Christians, and leaders
  • Teaching and preaching on campuses, in churches, and at conferences
  • Creating online and print resources for lay Christians and leaders

What does it look like for each believer to be fully equipped to take the gospel into various contexts? How can we train up believers to flourish in their commitment to gospel witness?

The BGCE is committed to training up the whole Church in winsome, creative, Christ-centered evangelism.

Special Evangelism & The Public Square Event:

Sharing Jesus with Non-Christian Friends and Relatives over Christmas Break

Jerry RootTuesday, December 9, 7-8:30 p.m., Blanchard 339, Wheaton College

Many of us have non-Christian relatives and friends we will see over Christmas. It is often an awkward time and we do not always know just how to bring up the topic or engage in spiritual conversations with those we love most. Nevertheless, Christmas seems to be an ideal time to speak with others about matters of faith. At this gathering of the December Evangelism & The Public Square discussion, Dr. Jerry Root will discuss how one might strategically and winsomely make the gospel known to others over the Christmas break. The ideas discussed will have wider application as well and therefore this event can benefit anyone wanting to learn how to share Jesus with others.

Free and open to the entire Wheaton College campus community as well as the public. No RSVP required.
