About Patricia Helbig

Patricia enjoys teaching watercolor to the participants in the Adult Art Classes and seeing their reaction to the application of color to paper.

In 2002, a new wing was added to Sleepy Hollow Elementary School which was named after Patricia: The Patricia Helbig Art and Literature Center. She was honored to have her painting purchased by Northeastern Ill. University, a first for the school.

Patricia is passionate about her watercolor and paints daily in her studio. She enjoys teaching folks of all ages and shares that love of painting with them. Patricia enjoys creating/sewing banners for her church. She is a member of the worship committee.

About Jennifer Nagle

Jenny loves being able to approach each student individually. The students often exhibit great joy when they create.

Mrs. Nagle has completed further studies as a Smith Grant recipient at the Art Institute of Chicago. Jennifer also designs and creates art to support scripture for area church services and ministries.

Jenny lives in the area with her husband Dave and their spoiled dog Leo.

About David LaPlaca

David teaches a wide range of artistic techniques gleaned over the years in his work as a professional art director and illustrator. His published work includes book covers, magazine, and catalog design.
A father of four home-schooled children, David teaches for local homeschool children and prepares yearly exhibits of their work.

With interests in art and music, David discovers joy in making and restoring harps, preparing edible creations, and building puppet theaters. While serving on the worship team at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, David often crafts original sacred art for the church year.
