Research shows that studying music as a young child builds a solid foundation for school readiness and early success. CSA's graduated Early Childhood Music program introduces aural skills, musical concepts, orchestral instruments and music from around the world.

in downtown Wheaton on Wednesday, September 2. Try instruments, sing, dance, and listen to stories (lovingly provided by PPB).

Enjoy bonding with your baby. Stimulate your child's natural curiosity though singing, patterns, movement and playing simple rhythm instruments. Activities promote sensory and neural development. Learn basic American Sign Language to encourage communication. Parent/caregiver attends class.

Kindermusik — Our Time
Listening, coordination, body awareness and impulse control develop through music and movement activities. Experience the joy of making music through singing, patterning, dancing and simple rhythm instruments. This class lays the foundation for musical, motor and social development. Classes nurture growing independence by building listening skills and enhancing self-discipline. Dramatic play encourages the ability to use language and fosters creative thinking that sparks imagination. Musical concepts are introduced through games and instruments. Parent/caregiver attends class.

Musikgarten — Music Makers 1: At Home
Year 1 of this 2-year sequential curriculum builds a musical foundation focused on a child’s love of nature. Music Makers develops symbolic thinking, concentration, memory and self-discipline through singing, movement and stories. Beginning ensemble and reading skills are introduced. Parent/caregiver attends last 15 minutes of class.

Musikgarten — Music Makers 2: Around the World
Year 2 of this sequential curriculum provides a developmentally sound approach to early school success. A foundation of music literacy is built through reading, listening, singing and instrument ensembles, while fostering social interaction. Music Makers 2 features songs, dances, rituals and customs of other cultures. Parent/caregiver attends last 15 minutes of class.

Musikgarten — Music Makers: At the Keyboard
This curriculum is a perfect beginning for private study ON ANY INSTRUMENT. Music Makers emphasizes making music independently and with others. The approach to reading music is both aural and visual. Activities include dancing, drumming and composing which nurture tonal, oral and rhythmic development. A 66-key, weighted keyboard or acoustic piano is required for home practice. Parent attends last 15 minutes.
