This year’s Commencement speaker, former United States Attorney for New Mexico and recently appointed Director of the J. Dennis Hastert Center David Iglesias, sent out the new graduates with these words: “Get as much advice as possible now from people you respect; pray without ceasing; seek opportunities; figure out which of your gifts will advance Christ and His Kingdom the best. It might be teaching, business, art, medicine, law, the military, a mission or church work, or staying at home and raising up a godly generation. But do it to the best of your ability.”

The Class of 2014 call themselves the “Inaugural Class,” as their college journey was bookended by Wheaton history, beginning with the inauguration of President Philip Ryken '88 and ending with the retirement of Chaplain Stephen Kellough after 25 years of service. While presenting the senior class gift and T-shirt to President Ryken, Senior Class President Tessa Larsen ’14 said, “We started with you in the beginning, and we will stick with you until the end.”

In this video, a few seniors share memories and words of thanks to the people who made their Wheaton experience possible.
