World Evangelical Alliance Submits Paper for the World Humanitarian Summit
In collaboration with the World Evangelical Alliance and several of its global partners, HDI co-authored a paper in preparation for the first World Humanitarian Summit to be held in May 2016. This comprehensive paper addresses "the unique and essential role of the evangelical community in humanitarian response and development." Read paper >>
HDI Submits Second Paper for Summit
At a regional meeting in preparation for the UN World Humanitarian Summit in May 2016, HDI Co-Directors Dr. David Boan and Dr. Jamie Aten collaborated with participants from Bread for the World, Chalmers Institute, Asbury Seminary, and other Wheaton faculty to write a position paper about the contributions of faith-based academic institutions to humanitarian development. "We highlighted the distinctive contributions of the faith-based academic community in order to foster greater collaboration on meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals," says Dr. Boan.
