About Craig

I was born and raised in the beautiful rolling hills and forests of upstate New York (near Syracuse). I attended Wheaton College in Illinois and worked at HoneyRock as a student before coming on staff in 2009. I am married to Anna as of December 10, 2011. I now serve as the Res Camp Program Manager and lead HoneyRock’s Summer Leadership School (SLS) program. I am based on campus at Wheaton College during the school year and manage the Southwoods HoneyRock Office.

My parents raised me to love and trust Christ as my Savior and from an early age I have been a Christ-follower, as best I know how. When I was 14, I recommitted myself to following Christ and experienced a desire to build his Kingdom. My time as an undergrad at Wheaton College was very formative for me, spiritually, relationally, and mentally. My senior year, I walked through a crisis of faith that left me devastated and almost pulled me away from Christ. God was gracious to me not only in rebuilding my faith through his Body, but in reaffirming his call on my life to build his Kingdom.

The New Testament writers sometimes spoke of “time” using the word kairos, which means “the opportune or seasonable time; the decisive epoch waited for.” This can also be understood as “the right time” or “the fullness of time.” My deepest joys in this ministry come from seeing the kairos moments in students’ lives, those moments that occur at just the right place or season and cause real and lasting change. As we wait for the Kairos of Christ’s second coming, it is my fervent desire to be a part of the smaller kairos moments that occur in our lives if we are willing to listen to the Holy Spirit.
