About Mary Elise
I hail from the land of World’s Largest Fish Fry and miniature Eiffel towers otherwise known as Paris, Tennessee. I graduated from Shorter University in Rome, Georgia with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Recreation in 2007. In the winter of 2009, I moved up to the Northwoods as a Graduate Apprentice. I am now serving as the Adventure Challenge and Passage Coordinator and attending Wheaton graduate school.
I grew up in a Christian home with three siblings and parents who lived centered on Jesus. In this environment, God drew me in at an early age to realize my need and desire for Him. In high school, at a camp I committed to fully follow Jesus. During college, I developed a love for relational ministry and deep awareness of grace!
Love for relational ministry, the outdoors, adventurous frolicking, graduate school and amazement of the Gospel motivated me initially to come to HoneyRock. It has been a place that God used to help me personally discern calling, see God’s working throughout my life, and begin to understand how to use the gifts He has given me in leading others. I enjoy getting to be a part of students’ lives as they make some of these discoveries! I’m also excited about continuing in the Evangelism and Leadership program and getting to implement what I’m learning at HoneyRock!
