HoneyRock - Ventures

Venture is HoneyRock’s high school program designed for high school juniors and seniors, where we take your passion for Christ and His Church and give you practical tools to understand your important and unique role. As responsibilities and experiences increase throughout high school, it is important to understand how your gifts and talents can best serve others.Venture requires a special application and an interview for official acceptance. The application process is intended to help both the program leaders and the applicant determine if Venture is the best fit for them.

Program Overview

Venture will help answer questions of identity:

  • What are my strengths?
  • What is my contribution?
  • How do I think about myself/the world?
  • How do I lead/follow?

What To Expect

You will move through a  leadership transition from leading yourself to leading a team to leading others. Your leadership skills will be built through:

  • Understand your unique leadership style and strengths through an extended Venture Challenge experience on HoneyRock’s high and low ropes course as well as working through a student leadership curriculum.
  • Build on your strengths by planning the route, packing meals, and navigating the Wilderness Trip to HoneyRock campsites.
  • Grow as a spiritual leader by facilitating weekly cabin bible studies and one worship service during the session for all of camp.
  • Lead others through our Residential Camp programs where you will assist the counselors and by taking ownership of the planning, prep, and execution of a Service project at or near HoneyRock.

HoneyRock - Ventures

By discovering your own unique God-given gifts as well as your personal strengths, this program will take you to the next level of following Jesus, growing in leadership and serving with a passion for making a difference in the world.
