The ISAE's numerous projects, both long-term and short-term, encouraged and promoted research on evangelical Christianity. These projects usually funded a portion of the work of various scholars, whom would come together for a three to four-day conference. Typically, edited volumes of papers from ISAE projects were published by leading scholarly publishers.

Changes in American Protestant Missions, 1910 to the Present

The ISAE through a grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc., completed a project entitled, Saving the World? The Changing Terrain of American Protestant Missions. The project’s goal was to provide a better understanding of the changes that have taken place in Protestant missions in the years following the landmark Edinburgh Missionary Conference of 1910. Learn more >
