The Office of Media Relations uses Merit by readMedia, a news service that helps us get media releases about Wheaton College students to hometown media, Google News, RSS feeds, social networking sites and other selected media outlets. We send news releases about academic achievements such as the dean’s list and graduation, and participation in co-curricular activities like theater and athletics.
Wheaton College also uses Merit to help students generate an online co-curricular résumé about their campus activities and achievements. This creates a positive online identity for students they can use to pursue internships, jobs, graduate school and other opportunities. Many companies now research applicants online. By using Merit, Wheaton helps employers find good information about our students, and it recognizes accomplishments with official college badges that show they're authentic. Merit pages show how the Wheaton College experience is shaping the lives of our students, and how they in turn are shaping the world.
