Various publications release college rankings and ratings each fall. These measures use a variety of methodologies and attempt to quantify a number of different factors into a single number that compares schools to one another.
While Wheaton College does not shape its academic or co-curricular programs with rankings in mind, we recognize that they can be a useful tool for prospective students and families, and appreciate the third-party endorsement they often provide. Overall, the rankings and ratings indicate that Wheaton provides a quality liberal arts education at a great value.

Fiske Guide to Colleges
The Fiske Guide to Colleges 2016 named Wheaton College to its list of 24 Private Best Buy colleges and universities, based on quality of academic offerings and affordable cost.
Forbes magazine ranked Wheaton College 86th in its annual list of 650 top undergraduate institutions and gave Wheaton a financial grade of ‘A.’ Forbes also ranked Wheaton 14th in the Top 25 Best Midwest Colleges and included Wheaton in its 2015 list of Top 100 Return on Investment (ROI) Colleges.

U.S. News & World Report
The 2015 U.S. News & World Report America's Best Colleges ranks Wheaton 57 among its 174 Best National Liberal Arts Colleges.
How U.S. News Calculated the 2016 Best Colleges Rankings
Washington Monthly ranked Wheaton #38 on its 2015 list of 248 liberal arts colleges. Its rankings list schools based on their contribution to the public good in the categories of social mobility, research, and service. Wheaton is also ranked #108 out of 403 on the publication’s list of Best Bang for the Buck schools in the Midwest.

Colleges that Change Lives
The book Colleges that Change Lives included Wheaton on this select list of 40 schools. Author Loren Pope said, "Wheaton is often called the Harvard of the evangelicals, but that moniker does not do it justice because it is head, shoulders, and heart above Harvard in its concern with good moral compasses and strong value systems, as well as in the percentage of future Ph.D.s it has turned out."
In 2010, First Things ranked Wheaton College #1 on its list of 25 Top Schools in America.
