John Nelson '63 has had an illustrious career as a conductor, featuring ten years as the Music Director of the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, and appearances with many of the major orchestras around the world. He received a Grammy Award as conductor for a recording of Handel: Semele in 1994.
Wendy White '75 is a mezzo-soprano who has had an international singing career in operas and concerts since the late 1970s. She debuted with the Metropolitan Opera in 1989, and has appeared in more than 500 performances there.

A '77 Conservatory graduate, Marty O'Donnell got his Masters of Music degree from the University of Southern California in the early 1980s. Although planning to teach, he found himself working on music for the film and TV industries. Next, he moved on to computer game soundtracks, eventually creating the award-winning soundtrack for the Halo series which is now considered one of the best known video game themes.
An organist of international renown, Carolyn Shuster Fournier '78 earned her doctorate in musicology from the Université de Tours, and has garnered accolades on both sides of the Atlantic for her published work, CD recordings, and performances throughout the world.
Classically trained as a pianist and flautist, Deanna Witkowski '93 took up the saxophone when she came to Wheaton, and with it an interest in the genre of jazz. The rest, as they say, is history. Deanna is now considered to be one of the premiere jazz pianists of her generation, and has performed at Kennedy Center, the Tel Aviv Opera House and at the Espaço Bis in Rio de Janeiro. Her fifth album is due to be released in 2012.
