Artist Series Presents: Ignace Michiels and the Millar Brass Ensemble

The Artist Series at Wheaton College presents organist Ignace Michiels and the Millar Brass Ensemble in a performance at 8 p.m. Friday, September 30.

Founded in 1981, the Millar Brass Ensemble has developed an international reputation for the finest of brass performances. While the ensemble tours and performs outside of Chicago, one of its primary functions is still to perform brass music as part of the liturgy at Northwestern University's Alice Millar Chapel.

Ignace Michiels is one of the leading Belgian organists of his generation. After studying the organ at the Academy of Burges, Michiels became organ professor at several Belgian universities. He will be accompanying the brass ensemble on the spectacular 4-manual, 70-rank Casavant Organ in Edman Memorial Chapel.

The Chapel is located on the northeast corner of Washington and Franklin streets in Wheaton. Ticket prices range from $37-$50 for general audience with discounts for students and seniors over 60.
