Wheaton College is the location for a naturalization ceremony in which 139 area residents will take the Oath of Allegiance and become United States citizens. The ceremony will take place on Friday, October 28th, in Barrows Auditorium.

Congressman Peter Roskam is the keynote speaker for the event, and the Honorable John W. Darrah, United States District Court Judge, will preside over the ceremony. The new Americans hail from 39 countries. The top representation is from Mexico with 42 new citizens, followed by India with 21.

“We are very pleased to support our new fellow Americans in the culmination of the naturalization process,” says Dale Kemp, Vice President for Finance at Wheaton College. “As a neighbor in this community, we are glad to make our facility available for this exciting and significant event.”

Barrows Auditorium is located at 500 College Avenue in Wheaton.
