Opus Grants

Wheaton College faculty and staff are invited to apply for Opus Grants, a flexible program that opens opportunities for questions of faith and vocation to be explored in new ways or to move into new parts of the college.

Internal grants of up to $1,000 are available for work in vocational issues or to the application of theology of work within a discipline or to a co-curricular program. They can also be applied to supplementary projects for faculty fellows.

Opus invites proposals from across the institution which fulfill the following requirements:

  • Connects a professor’s discipline with themes of vocation, work, or economics or connects these themes to a co-curricular student-facing program.
  • Refers to a Biblical/theological framework
  • Generates measurable student outcomes

All full-time Wheaton faculty and staff are eligible to apply. Grantees will submit a written report on the outcomes of the project that should include elements such as student response, outcomes and measurements, challenges encountered, and action items for future progress. More details are available for interested faculty members.

Inquiries about Opus and its work can be made to Cheryl Fan, Office Coordinator, at cheryl.fan@wheaton.edu.
