Graduation year: 2015
Hometown: Wheaton, IL
Major: English & Secondary Education
Position on CU: President
Why CU? Because this campus is full of the least ordinary people and I love to create events that bring them together. CU has the opportunity to draw everyone together, from all corners of campus, in a unique and creative way. Our events allow for rest, joy, friendships, fellowship, and multidimensional community. It's a blast!
About Me: I grew up in the Wheaton area with one fantastic brother and two loving parents. After college (approaching all too quickly), I hope to teach high school English for a time -- whether that's here or abroad.
What’s your favorite place on campus to connect with friends: The Williston porch or late night Saga.
How would you describe the dinner hour in Anderson Commons to someone outside of the Wheaton Community? It's chaotic and a hub for great conversation.
If you were to perform in the Talent Show, what would your act be and who would be in it? Fortunately, this dream already came true last year -- I performed a hip-hop dance with a few friends.
Favorite CU event and why? The President's Ball. Hands down. Who doesn't love a classy night downtown Chicago full of dancing and good food?
How has the community at Wheaton impacted you? The Wheaton community has taught me what it means to invest -- the value of wholeheartedly devoting myself to friendships, life with Jesus, and meaningful work. My perceptions of failure, growth, relationships, and countless other things have flipped on their heads. For these lessons and for the people that make this place the home that it is for me, I'm infinitely grateful.
