Student Traditions

Student Culture

Traditions and annual events at Wheaton build campus community through fun and meaningful activities that create a common context of shared experiences.

Wheaton has a strong history of student engagement, effectively developing leaders of steadfast and holistic character. It's through a variety of informal and formal programs outside the classroom that students are inspired and empowered to try new ideas, encouraged in every way to be others oriented, and stretched outside of their comfort-zone. As a result, our student culture is a strong support-base characterized by a sense of  trust and deep friendship, encouraging and challenging at the same time.

Wheaton has many unique traditions. Some date back one hundred years and some developed more recently, but they all foster community and provide shared experiences for students, faculty, and staff.

Annual Events

Much of the Wheaton experience is made up of the small moments and experiences that happen on a daily basis. That being said, there are several annual events that bring the larger college community together and often prove to be the highlights of the year.
