Office of Christian Outreach

From the Desk of the Director

My name is Brian Medaglia and since August of 2004 I've been serving as the Director of the Office of Christian Outreach. I would love to briefly share with you my background and why I am so excited to be at Wheaton College.

I've been involved in college student ministry for eighteen years. I spent ten years at Trinity International University as Dean of Undergraduate Admissions while also completing my Masters of Divinity. After Trinity, I served as the Midwest Field Director for ISI (International Students Incorporated) and most recently I served as the College Pastor at Harvest Bible Chapel which is in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

As far as why I am so excited to be ministering at Wheaton College, let me share an experience that deeply impacted me. During the Beamer Center dedication, I had a chance to meet individuals from the class of 1953 that had all been involved with the Office of Christian Outreach. They spoke about the impact of Marge Glover, the Director, and how she had invested deeply in the lives of her students and over fifty years later it was still paying dividends for Christ's Kingdom. I have a photo of the class of 1953 outside my office that reminds me of the privilege it is to invest in student's lives for Christ.

When I reflect on the impact of the Office of Christian Outreach, I can't help but think of all of those Alumni whose lives have been radically changed because of encountering God while learning through service here. In the Office of Christian Outreach we believe strongly in our college's mission to develop whole and effective Christians and know that in order to do that, we must partner with curricular and co-curricular programs to offer students the best experience possible.

Thank you for taking the time to visit the Office of Christian Outreach online. Please stop by any time to get a feel for it in person.
