Degrees: Christian education ministry major, Youth Ministry and Christian Education Leadership Development certificates

Extracurricular Activities: Chicago Evangelism Team, Koinonia, playing worship music with others

Favorite Wheaton Class and Professor: Foundations of Ministry and Evangelism both taught by Dr. Jerry Root are tied for my favorite classes partly because Dr. Root teaches them. He, just like many other faculty members, is a man who cares about his students and about their spiritual growth. Foundations was a class that helped me comprehend parts of my faith that I had just previously accepted such as the importance of the Trinity or suffering and how these topics are essential to ministry. Evangelism is up there too because Dr. Root would say in prayer at the beginning of every class: “This might be the only class we ever take where we get to see other people come to Christ.” So take that opportunity to partake in the harvest! Why you came to Wheaton: I came to Wheaton because it was the one of the only colleges where I felt like the entire community was invested in your spiritual growth. By entire, I mean the people living on your floor, the people in the same clubs as you, the people in your classes, and even the faculty members.

Favorite Quote(s): I really enjoy the KJV translation of Revelation 4:11: “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” But this C. S. Lewis quote is sort of more of an explanation of why I love people so much: "There are no ordinary people. You have never met a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations, they are to our life as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub and exploit—immortal horrors or everlasting splendors." –The Weight of Glory
