Wheaton College
is a member of the CCCU and is able to offer several overseas and
domestic programs through the organization. Please visit the CCCU's

Cooperative programs are available at American University; American,
China, Latin American, Russian, Middle East, Los Angeles Film Studies,
and Oxford Honors Programs through the Council for Christian Colleges
& Universities in Washington, DC; at Au Sable Institute of Environmental
Studies, Mancelona, Michigan; at the Illinois Institute of Technology
at Chicago/Wheaton, Illinois; and at Daystar University College
in Nairobi, Kenya.
The American
Studies Program is sponsored by the Council for Christian
Colleges & Universities in the nation's capital. This work/study
opportunity is based upon the principle of integrating faith,
learning, and living while participating in an academic seminar
program. A wide variety of internship opportunities exists in
the Washington area through this program. Contact the Registrar's

The China Studies Program,
offered by the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities,
is held at Xi'an Foreign Language University in Xi'an, China.
The program will include travel to significant sites, as well
as language study, service opportunities, and the exploration
of Chinas past, present, and future. See the Registrars

The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities also offers
the Contemporary Music
Program on Martha's Vineyard, which provides students
the opportunity to live and work in community while seeking to
understand how God will have them integrate music, faith and business.
Both interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary in nature, the CMP
offers two tracks: the Artist Track and the Executive Track. Each
track includes course work, labs, directed study and a practicum.

The Global Stewardship Study Program is based at an environmental
center in the jungle in Belize, Central America. Students take
courses in ecology, community development, and environmental stewardship.

The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities sponsors
the Honours Programme.
Junior and senior honors students have the opportunity to study
in England by participating in an interdisciplinary semester at
Oxford through a partnership program with the Centre for Medieval
& Renaissance Studies, affiliated with Keble College of the
University of Oxford. As associate students of Keble College,
Honours Program participants enjoy the use of all of the Colleges
academic and social facilities and are allowed to join the Oxford
Union Society.
The Latin American
Studies Program is a Council for Christian Colleges &
Universities sponsored semester of study in Costa Rica. This program
is committed to deepening a student's understanding of the lordship
of Christ in an international context. Housing is provided with
a Costa Rican family to enrich this unique cross-cultural experience.

The Los Angeles Film
Studies Program of the Council for Christian Colleges
& Universities is a semester's work in the Los Angeles Film
Studies Center in Burbank, California. Its purpose is to enable
Christian college students to serve in various aspects of the
film industry with professional skill and Christian integrity.

The Middle East Studies
Program, based in Cairo, Egypt, and sponsored by the Council
for Christian Colleges & Universities, helps students understand
the history, peoples, and cultures of this fascinating and complex
region. Students also gain an appreciation of the Middle Eastern
church and an understanding of the economic and political realities
which influence the quest for peace in the Middle East. Information

The Russian Studies
Program, another of the Councils study programs,
is unique in that it draws on the resources of three Russian cities.
Students spend ten days in Moscow, twelve weeks in Nizhni Novgorod,
and ten days in St. Petersburg studying the history, culture,
religion, politics, language, and current events of Russia. Information

The Summer Programme
program allows students to spend a summer term studying at the
Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (CMRS) in Oxford,
England. The program includes multidisciplinary study of the Renaissance
and Reformation through examination of philosophy, art, literature,
science, music, politics and religion of early modern Europe in
a choice of lectures, seminars and field trips. For more information

For the Summer Institute
of Journalism, Council campuses are invited to choose
two student journalists to apply for this four-week, all-expenses-paid
experience in Washington, DC Fifteen students are selected to
participate in the Institute, which lasts from mid-May to mid-June.
The Institute blends classroom experience with hands-on work and
provides excellent opportunity to learn through lectures and panels
with leading journalists who share a strong Christian commitment.

Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies is an institute for Christian environmental stewardship located in Michigan, Washington, Florida, East Africa and South India. January, May and Summer courses are offered in such areas as environmental studies, natural history, field biology, environmental ethics, restoration ecology, ground water stewardship, and global development and ecological stewardship. Information is available in the Department of Geology and Environmental Science.
