From the Eyes of a Shepherd Opening Reception
The Billy Graham Center Museum at Wheaton College will host a public reception to open the “From the Eyes of a Shepherd” art exhibit. The artwork's painter will offer comments on the narrative presented in the gallery and the role of the arts in Christian apologetics.
“From the Eyes of a Shepherd” is an exhibition of privately collected works on animal metaphor and the incarnation of Christ. Artist Mark Sprinkle is also an author and cultural historian, and formerly served as Senior Fellow of Arts and Humanities for The BioLogos Foundation. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Georgetown University, he received his MA and PhD in American studies from the College of William and Mary, where he studied how artworks embody complex relationships in different cultural contexts. Since 1996, he has been an independent artist and frame maker, regularly speaking on the creative practice as a means to cultural mediation and renewal.
The reception begins Tuesday, June 17 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., with a short program at 8:00. Refreshments will be provided.
These works are brought to the BGC Museum in partnership with RZIM | Ravi Zacharias International Ministries.
