Career Options
A history major provides student with habits of mind and skills in investigation and expression that are useful in a broad range of careers. Wheaton College history majors have served in business; in journalism and publishing; in local, state, and federal governments; in the ministry and on the mission field; as teachers and administrators; as military officers; as librarians; and in other fields. Students should take advantage of information and assistance available at Wheaton’s Career Services office. Also, they should check the information available at the Finding a job link in the Handbook section. Academic advisers are available as well to discuss specific interests and career possibilities.
