Professional Interests: Dr. Toly’s chief interests are in urban and environmental policy. He is particularly motivated by questions of environmental justice and the relationships between technology, environment, and society. His work on urban hazards, cities and climate change, climate policy, and biodiversity is an expression of his interest in exploring the boundaries between nature and society.
Personal Interests: Noah enjoys spending time with his family, participating the ministries of their church, reading, and watching sports. You're likley to find him at Wheaton College football games and other Thunder athletic events. He also offers occasional team defense clinics to Wheaton's club lacrosse team.

Individual: Dr. Toly is currently completing two commissioned book chapters, guest editing a theme issue of Christian Scholar's Review, co-editing a book with Dr. Daniel Block (IVP Academic), and working on peer reviewed articles on cities and the environment.
With Students: Dr. Toly is currently working with a student on two peer reviewed articles, "The Role of Transnational Urban Networks in Global Climate Governance: From Technical Leadership to Norm Entrepreneurship" and "Polarization, Environmental Politics, and the Dual City:
Chicago’s Calumet Region in an Age of Global Environmental Activism." He is also interested in working with students to develop research presentations for the Fourth International Solar Cities Congress, to be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 2008.
