The Friends of the Wade Program

If you are interested in the work of The Marion E. Wade Center and the writings of the seven authors, we invite you to become a Friend of the Wade through direct financial support.

Currently, the Wade Center is only partially supported by its endowment. The remaining portion of our operating budget is dependent upon donations from friends, visitors, and users. Resources supported by Friends of the Wade include the research library, archives, and museum which are the heart of the Wade Center. In addition, the Wade Center provides educational programs both locally and internationally and publishes an annual academic journal entitled VII: An Anglo-American Literary Review. The Friends of the Wade have also underwritten special projects such as outfitting the Wade Center's "smart" classroom with audio-visual capabilities, and endowing Martha's Table, a hospitality fund named in honor of Martha Kilby.

Gifts can be made in any amount, and can be given regularly or on a one-time basis. All gifts are acknowledged with a receipt as a tax-deductible gift to Wheaton College. Friends of the Wade receive a newsletter in the spring and autumn, and occasional other information related to Wade Center acquisitions, publications and events.

Thank you for considering joining with us as one of the Friends of the Wade.
