Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Manager of Arts Marketing is responsible for shaping the public image of Wheaton College’s world-class Conservatory of Music and vibrant Arts Division. This position promotes both student recruitment and public engagement, working closely with the Conservatory of Music, the Arts Division, and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Alyssa is responsible for leading and implementing comprehensive, strategic marketing plans to enhance visibility and engagement for the Conservatory and Arts programs including the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, Artist Series, Community School of the Arts, Arena Theater, Art Department shows, and more.

While technically a Minnesota native, home has been many places for Alyssa, including Colorado, Indiana, Italy, Texas, and now Saint Charles, Illinois. Alyssa graduated from Taylor University in 2012 with a BA in International Business and a minor in Studio Art. After finishing an internship as a Marketing Data Analyst with Global Media Outreach (GMO), she accepted a full-time role on the global digital advertising team. Over her 5 years with GMO, Alyssa worked with Google and dozens of mobile ad vendors to run hundreds of international campaigns, including the launch campaign for the YouVersionBible App! During this time, she also worked in the donor development space.

In the summer of 2017, Alyssa re-entered the art world, working on commissioned paintings and exhibiting her artwork in local galleries. During this time, she learned of the opening at Wheaton College for the Marketing Specialist for the Arts. This position was seemingly tailor-made for Alyssa’s experience and giftings, so she moved across the country again to take on the role. Over the last seven years, Alyssa has promoted nearly 1000 Arts events, helped hundreds of students find their way to the Conservatory of Music and the Arts, and finished an M.A. in Biblical Studies at Wheaton College. Now serving as the Manager of Arts Marketing, Alyssa enjoys planning and deploying complex multi-channel marketing strategies for arts recruitment and events. Outside the office, Alyssa is a muralist, church leader, wife, and mother with a penchant for gourmet cooking, gardening, the great outdoors, and her sweet but wild Rough Collie.
