This year's keynote speakers bring expertise in diverse areas including management, applied theology, supply chain, and academia. Together, they will help us hone in on the intersection of faith and business practice.

Headshot of CFI Managing Director Ben NorquistBen Norquist studied history and political science in college (Bryan College, Dayton, Tennessee), and went on to earn his M.A. in Western thought from St. John's College. Ben is a Ph.D. student in the Higher Education department at Azusa Pacific University where he is studying innovation and internationalization in higher education.

Before joining the staff at Wheaton College, Ben served as Director of Spiritual Formation at Bryan College. He considers his current work with the Center for Faith & Innovation to be a continuation and maturation of his previous work experiences. As CFI’s Managing Director Ben directs all programs, ensuring healthy engagement with faculty, staff, students, and other audiences. Ben’s background in spiritual formation and Christian thought about vocation aids CFI’s work on campus. 

Philip G. Ryken President Wheaton College ILPresident Ryken attended Wheaton, majoring in English literature and philosophy. He earned his masters of divinity degree from Westminster Theological Seminary and a doctorate in historical theology from the University of Oxford. He preached at Philadelphia’s historic Tenth Presbyterian Church from 1995 until his appointment at Wheaton in 2010.

During his presidency, Wheaton has advanced the strategic priorities of Deepening Ethnic Diversity, Promoting Liberal Arts Excellence, Enhancing Music and the Performing Arts, and Globalizing a Wheaton Education. President Ryken has published more than 50 books, including The Message of Salvation (InterVarsity, 2001), Art for God’s Sake (P&R, 2006), When Trouble Comes (Crossway, 2016). He serves as a board member for the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities, the Lausanne Movement, and the National Association of Evangelicals. 

 

Headshot of Dr. Andrea ScottOriginally from Kingston, Jamaica, Dr. Andrea Scott is the incoming Provost and VP of Academic Affairs at George Fox University. She served as the Marketing Director on the Board of Directors for the LA County Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation and is a trustee for Wheaton College. She earned an M.B.A. at Emory University and completed a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of South Florida. She worked in advertising with national clients such as General Mills and Wrigley at DDB and BBDO in Chicago, provided logistical support for NBC during the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, was a business analyst for Honeywell, Inc., and founded The Write Touch (a marketing and creative writing business). She engages with public service agencies and nonprofits and enjoys investigating the challenges faced at the intersection of conscience, culture and consumption. She is a Fulbright Scholar and explores research opportunities and consulting activities in her homeland.
