Income Inequality: The Role of Markets and Government

This evening will be an in-depth look at the impact of public and private sectors on the issue of income inequality as it relates to family structures, healthcare and poverty. Panelists
Sam Peltzman, Ralph and Dorothy Keller Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus of Economics at the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago. Currently an editor of the Journal of Law and Economics and is the Director Emeritus of the George J. Stigler Center for the Study of the Economy and the State at the University of Chicago.
Bruce D. Meyer, McCormick Foundation Professor at Chicago Harris, University of Chicago. He has also been a visiting professor at Harvard University, University College London and Princeton University, a member of the Institute for Research on Poverty, a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a faculty fellow at the Institute for Policy Research.
W. Bradford Wilcox, Director of the National Marriage Project and Professor of Sociology at the University of Virginia, Senior Fellow at the Institute for Family Studies, and a Visiting Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute.
