Christy Vosburg
Director of Wheaton in Chicago
Christy Vosburg first joined Wheaton in Chicago as a student in the fall 2009 cohort before returning to work for the program in 2019. Christy studied elementary education, urban studies, physics and mathematics at Wheaton College, then completed her M.A. Higher Education Administration at University of Louisville and a Trauma Certificate from Wheaton College. She teaches URBN 233: Chicago, supervises internships, and deeply enjoys creating connections across Chicago among students, staff, faculty, alumni, community partners, and more.
Rachel Becker
Assistant Director of Wheaton in Chicago and Site Manager of Urban Passage: Woodlawn Track
Rachel Becker grew up in San Diego, California, and received her B.A. in Islamic and Arabic Studies from San Diego State and her M.A. in Biblical Exegesis from Wheaton College. Rachel manages programming, student care, residence life, spiritual formation, facilities, Urban Passage: Woodlawn Track, and more. When not taking a student out for coffee or leading morning prayer, she may be found on walking in Washington Park, parsing Hebrew verbs, or making a fabulous cup of tea.
Grace Sentosa
Program Assistant for Wheaton in Chicago
Grace Sentosa was born in Tucson, Arizona, spent her childhood and teenage years in Jakarta, Indonesia, and returned to the U.S. to study and receive her B.A. in Philosophy with a Minor in Theater in 2023. Grace provides student care and residence life support, as well as assisting recruitment and behind-the-scenes projects related to WiC. When not hosting outings or sipping lattés with students, she may be found reading a book and journaling in cafés, painting watercolor and calligraphy pieces, or running alongside the crystal blue lake down by the Promontory Point.
Jen Doty
Office Coordinator for Anthropology, Sociology and Urban Studies
Jen Doty studied English language and literature at North Park University before joining Wheaton College staff in 2016. Jen works on Wheaton’s main campus and provides administrative support for Wheaton in Chicago, such as processing honoraria for field trip speakers or assisting with on-campus recruitment events.
