Jessica Henderson is a mother of three, graphic designer, educator and artist living in St. Paul, Minnesota. She received her MFA in 2D Mixed Media, Print and Bookmaking from Minneapolis College of Art and Design and is currently a Professor of Graphic Design at Bethel University in St. Paul. Working out of her backyard studio she uses densely layered combinations of digital and analog tools, processes, and materials to explore themes of technology, connection, distraction, embodiment, and interiority. Henderson’s practice is heavily informed by engagement with her children and students and her work has been exhibited in galleries including Burnet Gallery, SooVAC, Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Samford University, and the Soap Factory.
