ThunderPitch: A Showcase of Innovation and Entrepreneurship

ThunderPitch is Wheaton College's annual entrepreneurial pitch competition, where students present their innovative business ideas on stage before a live audience. Judged by a panel of business professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors, the event offers students the chance to gain valuable feedback, showcase their creativity, and compete for thousands of dollars in prize money. ThunderPitch embodies the spirit of innovation and provides a platform for future leaders to take their first steps toward entrepreneurial success.

Women In Business and Economics Gatherings

The Women in Business & Economics Gatherings provide a welcoming space for female students in the department to connect, encourage one another, and build meaningful networks. Held twice a semester, these events bring together students and business professionals to share insights, foster community, and explore opportunities in business and economics. Whether through engaging discussions or networking with industry leaders, the gathering equips BEC women to grow personally and professionally as they prepare for careers of purpose and impact.

Financial Literacy Event: Integrate 2023

For three days (April 13 - 15, 2023), Center for Faith and Innovation (CFI) held its annual Integrate Conference at Wheaton College in partnership with the Business and Economics Department.  This event was tailored to Wheaton College students who are starting to develop their career paths after graduation.  It included several guest speakers and breakout sessions covering topics such as budgeting, credit score management, student loans, debt, taxes and investing. Guest speakers included:  Dave Evans (Author, Professor, and NYT Bestselling Author), Alan Barnhart (CEO of Barnhart Crane and Rigging) and Robin John (Founder and CEO of Eventide Asset Management).
