- Essays must be between 2,000 and 4,000 words.
- Special consideration will be given to essays that can appeal to a more general audience.

- One entry per student, please.
Deadline for Submission:
All essays must be submitted by March 1. Winners will be informed by the end of A-quad.
How to Submit:
Please email your essay to Amy Park at amy.park@wheaton.edu by the deadline and with the subject heading “Contest Essay Submission.”
Prizes and Opportunities:
- First and Second Place winners will be invited to present their work at the Philosophy Department’s Spring Colloquium on the evening of March 28, where they will have the opportunity to share their essays with faculty, students, and fellow philosophers.
- Winning essays will also receive a modest cash prize ($250 for first; $100 for second).
We look forward to reading your submissions! For questions, please contact Dr. Kemp at ryan.kemp@wheaton.edu.
