Joshua M. AveryAssociate Professor of Library Science

Joshua is the Team Leader for Access Services and Assessment at the Wheaton College Library and Associate Professor of Library Science. He studied at the University of Cincinnati, Miami University, and the University at Albany, State University of New York.
He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of The Christian Librarian, a scholarly journal exploring issues of academic libraries and librarianship. He has served on committees for the Illinois Library Association, the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI), and was elected to the executive committee for LIBRAS, a consortium of private college and university libraries located in the Chicago metropolitan area. He is a founding member of the Roundtable for Value-Driven Information Literacy.
His interests as a researcher and speaker include issues of virtue, religion and information, library assessment, information literacy, open access, integrated library systems, social media, library management, human computer interaction (HCI), and folksonomies.
