Directory Information Available in Wheaton Portal

The Wheaton College directory, which contains business contact information for faculty and staff, is now available within the Wheaton Portal. In addition to the Wheaton Portal, there are several other methods for finding contact information.
Rationale
As announced by Human Resources earlier this year, the directory containing personal contact information for faculty, staff, and students will no longer be available due to privacy and security concerns. Business contact information and student email and CPO addresses will still be available.
A paper copy of the directory will not be distributed in order to reduce paper waste and because of the multiple other methods of looking up contact information (see below).
Impact on College Community
The directory providing business contact information for faculty and staff, organized by department, is available within the Wheaton Portal. Sign in to the Wheaton Portal to view the directory. The directory, which includes Department Phone Numbers, the Employee Directory, and Campus Fax Lines, is listed under Help and Resources.
You can also find contact information using the methods below:
- Outlook Address Book: In Outlook, open a new email and the Address Book will appear on the tool bar. Type an individual’s name in the search bar. For faculty and staff, their title, department, phone extension, office location, and email address will appear. For students, their dorm and email address is populated here.
- Skype for Business: Skype for Business is installed on faculty and staff College-owned computers. On macOS, this program is called Lync. When active, use the Find Someone field just below the Contacts tab. An overview is located here. For a more in-depth overview, watch our Tech Talk on YouTube.
- Who’s Who: For faculty and staff, department information is shown. For students, class and CPO address are displayed. To use Who's Who, log in to the Wheaton Portal and select Who’s Who under Help and Resources. To access Who's Who from off campus, use VPN or EZProxy.
