Noel Streacker

Noel Streacker, B.M., M.M.

Noel Streacker is a freelance percussionist and educator in the greater Chicagoland area. Noel received his B.M. in Pedagogy from Wheaton College (IL), and his M.M. in performance from Northern Illinois University. As a performer, Noel is in demand as a percussionist and drumset player with many churches, choirs, handbell choirs, theaters, chamber groups, and jazz bands. Some notable collaborations include Arcomusical (a premiere berimbau sextet based out of DeKalb Illinois), Goodman Theater, Theo Ubique Cabaret, Columbia College Chicago, UW Madison, UW Milwaukee, Ripon College, DePauw University, Ithaca University, Camerata Chicago, and many venues throughout the Midwest. Noel has also been featured on CBS Sunday Morning and PBS Now Hear This as a percussionist.

As an educator, Noel has worked with Wheaton North High School as their Front Ensemble Director, Audio Engineer, Percussion Ensemble Director, and Private Lesson Teacher since 2017. In 2022 he began working with Wheaton Warrenville South High School as their Marching Percussion Director, and Naperville Central High School as a Front Ensemble Tech. Noel Joined Neuqua Valley High School as a private lesson teacher in 2023. Noel recently accepted a position with Wheaton College as Adjunct Faculty, Director of Percussion Ensemble. Alongside performing and teaching, Noel is a bandleader, music director, husband, and father to two incredible daughters.
