Oksana Kovalev, B.M.Suzuki Piano

CSA Instructor since 2003
Oksana received her Bachelor's of Music degree in Russia, where she taught private piano lessons. With qualifications as an accomplished accompanist, she continued her education at the State Pedagogy Institute in Taganrog, Russia for two years and taught conducting, accompanist, and vocal courses.
After moving to the United States, she maintained a private piano studio for three years before joining the faculty of the Community School of the Arts (CSA) Wheaton College in 2003. With a passion for music and teaching, she enjoys working with students, encouraging them to expand their talents and musical abilities. In the CSA, she has been teaching the Suzuki Method and Preparatory Piano to students, some of which have continued their study of music at the college level.
Additionally, Oksana is a member of the American College of Musicians and of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, where she acquired full certification in the Suzuki Method at Elmhurst College with teacher and trainer Yasuko Joichi.
Oksana combines her passion for music and for Christ by playing on her church worship team and leading the children's choir.
