Wheaton College Center for Vocation and Career
IT ALL begins WITH SELF-DISCOVERY
Make decisions about your future, you need to know who you are. Thankfully, your college years are full of opportunities to figure it out. Examining what you're interested in and passionate about—through classes, through activities, through spiritual exploration—will help set you up for meaningful work.
What are your greatest strengths? We can help you find out! Using the CliftonStrengths Assessment, our WAY5 program helps you understand how to combine and maximize your strengths as you consider potential careers.
How does your potential career path correspond with your values? What are you looking for from your employer? What are your expectations of your teammates? Examine the culture of a company — and potential industries as a whole — to make sure it’s a good fit.
You're unique, and your career, and vocational path will be too! Our myStory tool takes you through exercises in vocational exploration, self-discovery, skills development, and career discernment to create a customized roadmap.

Taco Tuesdays are an excellent way for students to learn about different careers and connect with alumni. Limited to 30 attendees, these dinners give students the chance to casually chat with alumni over tacos and learn more about their role, industry, or career path.
Internships are about exploring careers. They’re often just as valuable for discovering what isn’t a good fit for you as much as they are about finding the right career path. At this event, upper-class students share their internship experiences in a range of professions.
