HESD at the Graduate Program Fair at Biola University
The HESD learning community is a vibrant and closely-knit network that brings together students, faculty, staff, and alumni in meaningful ways. This sense of connection is one of the distinctive features that sets our program apart. Whether through shared experiences, collaborative projects, or supportive relationships, the bonds formed here contribute to a learning environment where belonging and fellowship are essential.
A great example of this connection is the recent collaboration between John Lee, a second-year OAL-HESD student, and Nicole Heuler ('24), the Assistant Director of Housing at Vanguard University, one of our partner institutions. Despite pursuing her education remotely, Nicole never felt distant from the HESD community, remaining actively engaged throughout her time as a student. Now, as an alumna, she continues to embody this connection. Together with John, they represented the HESD Program at the Graduate Programs Fair at Biola University on October 23, 2024, showcasing both the strength of our community and the collaborative spirit that defines who we are.
The graduate program at Wheaton College is one of the few Christian Professional Programs in the nation, uniquely combining faith, scholarship, and practical experience. It is a place where students not only grow academically and professionally but also form lasting connections that carry forward into their careers and lives, united by a higher calling in higher education: promoting whole-person formation in Christ's image through spiritual formation, discipleship, and communal learning.
