Esther Knight ’23
Special Project Manager, Spiritual First Aid
Intern, The Christian Alliance for Inclusive Development
My experience at Wheaton College graduate school challenged me, gave me tools to begin a humanitarian career, and provided lifelong resources and community to support me through it all. Throughout the program, I practiced skills such as project management, research and evaluation, and leadership—all skills I use continually in my professional endeavors. Without the kind, wise, and qualified teaching from the HDI professors, I would not have nearly as much perspective and experience as a humanitarian. The connections I built with faculty and peers will last a lifetime.
Since graduating, the HDI network has supported me through friendship, prayer, guidance, and even career opportunities. Studying Humanitarian and Disaster Leadership has and will continue to change my life for the better.
