Emily Benson

Emily is a 1st-year doctoral student in clinical psychology with a background in psychology & sociology and 10+ years experience working with young adults in a college counseling center.  She is currently interested in supporting women during the perinatal and postpartum phase of life through research and clinical therapy, as well as, decreasing the disparity of health care in marginalized populations.  She hopes to gain experience with assessments in order to support women in parenting and wellbeing, as well as  clinical experiences in community and hospital settings to provide access to quality mental health care for women in all stages of development, as well as space to process issues of faith.
