Jadisha Vargas-Correa

Jadisha is a 2nd year doctoral student in clinical psychology, dedicated researcher and emerging clinician originally from Puerto Rico who migrated to the West Side of Chicago at age 12. Jadisha has a passion for addressing the unique mental health challenges faced by BIPOC and marginalized communities. Her work focuses on understanding the profound impact of trauma within these populations, striving to develop culturally informed interventions and contribute to equitable mental health care practices. Driven by a commitment to advocacy and empowerment, Jadisha aims to bridge gaps in mental health services and amplify the voices of underrepresented communities through her research and clinical work.
