Mia Menassa
Psy.D. Student
Mia is a fourth-year in the Psy.D. program with a concentration in marriage and family therapy. She primarily approaches therapy from a psychodynamic approach, specifically through relational cultural theory. She also employs evidence-based approaches, such as emotion-focused, attachment-based, and family systems models, to guide the treatment process. As an international, she understands the value of language in expressing oneself fully and is able to provide therapy in French and Arabic. Ultimately, she aims to provide testing and therapy services to individuals across the lifespan, specifically focusing on families and couples. She hopes to work in a group practice with part of her time dedicated to providing services in community mental health centers and faith-based organizations in her home country, Lebanon.
