At HoneyRock, we invite all campers into a change of pace, giving them time and space to step away from the distractions and pressures of everyday life. Summer camp at HoneyRock is a place where campers can ask big questions, learn how to navigate life away from home and see God at work in new ways.
Retreats for Groups and Families

Consider joining us for a retreat or renting one of our guest cabins at HoneyRock. Cabin rentals are available year-round, and retreats can be planned in collaboration with our hospitality team between August and May!

Vanguard Gap Year
Vanguard is the gap year of Wheaton College that takes place at HoneyRock. Vanguard equips recent high school graduates with the necessary tools, experiences, and faith formation for life after high school, at college, and beyond.

Summer Employment and Paid Internships
Each of our summer staff positions equips college-aged students and emerging leaders with the hard and soft skills necessary to be professional in their future careers and endeavors. You will gain a strong foundation in the areas of leadership, outdoor ministry, community formation, and Christian spiritual formation.

Chase Leadership Certificate
The Chase Leadership Certificate of Wheaton College is an experiential program that integrates academic study with practical, on-the-ground leadership opportunities.
Programs for Emerging Professionals
Do you feel called to work in higher education, outdoor ministry, or within the greater Christian church? These programs will combine practical experience with theories and methods of spiritual formation, leadership development, and ministry to help inform your next steps.

One year of purposeful vocational discernment, spiritual formation, and leadership development for college graduates at The HoneyRock Center for Leadership Development of Wheaton College.

Graduate Assistantships
Apply theory with real-time work, equipping yourself to become an exceptional leader in experiential formational ministry to youth and young adults in camps, colleges, and churches by being a Graduate Assistant at HoneyRock. As a graduate assistant, you'll also work towards earning a Masters in Outdoor and Adventure Leadership through Wheaton College Graduate School.

For Established Professionals
You can also earn an M.A. in Outdoor and Adventure Leadership part-time while maintaining your job. The courses are all offered in modular (1- to 2-week long intensives), hybrid (mix of online and short 2- to 3-day residential courses) or online classes enable you to take all your classes while maintaining your job at your current ministry.
