Fatherless Family Retreat

Fatherless Family Retreat

October 6 - 9, 2023 | HoneyRock

Over these past few years, we’ve had many of your children join us at summer camp and experience the support of our Fatherless Camper Scholarship. This fall, HoneyRock will be hosting our first-ever Fatherless Family Retreat.

It has been a privilege to get to know your camper(s) and witness their growth through the different programs we provide at HoneyRock! In this spirit of relationship building and creating spaces of belonging, we wanted to extend this opportunity to your entire family.

HoneyRock partners with a ministry called Psalm68five. They define "fatherless" or "fatherlessness" as "children growing up without a father." Our partnership with Psalm68five helps us to provide more robust and intentional programming for campers who are growing up without the presence of a father.

Our hope is that this will be an opportunity for you to build relationships with other families while equipping you with resources and connections. We are excited to share that, due to generous donors, this retreat will be offered at no cost to you. Come enjoy a relaxing weekend with your children and enjoy the fall colors!

Register your family

The Fatherless Family Retreat is of no charge to you! Thanks to the gift of generous donors, this retreat is open to families whose camper(s) received a Fatherless Camper Scholarship to attend HoneyRock's summer camp programs.

This retreat is intended for you and your camper(s) to attend together. If you are interested in retreats that are designed specifically just for your camper(s), check out ReGroup (high school) and WinterFest (junior high).

How to register:

Dorm-style cabins will be available to all attendees and each family will have their own cabin unless there’s a request to share.

In each dorm-style cabin, you will find:

    • 5 bunk beds (10 total beds)
    • Private bathroom (sink, shower, toilet)
    • Bed linens (pillow, sheets, blanket) and towels provided by HoneyRock

Meals are provided in the dining hall. For more information on meal times, see the schedule below.

Need some more info? Feel free to reach out to our team!

Families are responsible for their own transportation to and from HoneyRock.

If the cost or logistics of transportation to and from HoneyRock creates a potential barrier preventing you and your children from attending the retreat, please reach out to honeyrock.register@wheaton.edu - our team is happy to discuss possible solutions and support.
