Storytelling Project

We find that the shortest distance between two people is a story. Come read what we are about!

Storytelling Project is a team of creatives who makes art by listening to the stories of students within the Wheaton Community. In doing so, STP reflects the beauty of God's image on our campus, using Studio 1:27 and event planning as platforms to collect stories and share art. The vision behind our efforts is so that every student can feel seen and heard - and every student can see and hear others. We believe that when you see people differently, you see the heart of God differently.

This student-led team is comprised of an assortment of artists charged within their faith and artmaking to reflect on themes occurring within culture, then creatively responding to give a biblical artistic perspective, so that the invisible God is seen through the recognition of unique story within each student. We do this to celebrate the beauty of the gospel and advance unity within the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

As believers, we know that "God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them (Gen 1:27)". Our work inspires us to put on display the beauty of creation, as creatives created to reflect the original Creator.
