Biography
Madhu is a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College. She is currently under the supervision of Dr. Karen Hurula at the Counseling Center. Madhu is from South Asia and is a dietician by training. Before coming to Wheaton, she had worked extensively in the field of anti-human trafficking, post-traumatic care in cross-cultural settings, and has incorporated art in therapy. Madhu works with people across the lifespan and currently works at a community-based mental health setting catering to people from marginalized communities. In addition to serving a wide range of clientele from multicultural settings with various presentations, Madhu is passionate about serving people with trauma, family distress, and identity issues. Madhu’s therapeutic orientation is holistic and eclectic. Madhu loves people, nature, enjoys hosting, cooking, and painting.
